I’m so glad that you’ll visit Russia again. August, of course, is not the best time for visit, for most of people are on vacations but ultimately it doesn’t matter.

I‘ve written to my friends in Ukraine about your tour so maybe something will be organized in Kiev. Alex Kan is on his vacation in his native town Kherson (near Odessa) now, and perhaps he’ll meet with you in Kiev.

Some Leningrad musicians will be in August here and I’ll try to organize concert or / and recording session. So if it’s possible bring the tapes with you. Write me please before your departure from BRD about details of your trip: at what hotels will you stay in each city? What numbers of our train from Moscow and flight from Kiev? If it will be known only in the USSR write (or wire) me from Moscow.

As for your request of Ilona Herz for her work so conservatory and music schools are on summer vacations now and to find proper people will be very hard. But I’ll try my best. I hope Alexey Batashev will help her as well.
